Two years after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sogrape returned to offer breathalyser tests at the 18th edition of Essência do Vinho, in Porto, from March 31^st to April 3^rd. 

As part of its engagement with the Wine in Moderation programme and its commitment to the Alcohol and Health National Forum, Sogrape carried out 900 breathalyser tests, an interactive initiative to make visitors aware of their BAC levels during the fair.

Along with the breathalyser tests, over 900 brochures were handed out to visitors, containing guidelines for low-risk consumption, drink units and the legal Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) limits for driving in Portugal. Sogrape also took the occasion to explain to the public that, as for any other alcoholic beverage, the consumption of wine affects the capacity to perform certain activities, such as driving, and it is always advised to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages on such occasions. 

Through these initiatives, Sogrape aims to raise awareness of the benefits of a moderate consumption and the risks of alcohol abuse and of driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
