Social responsibility at the Malbec Open Days
For the second consecutive year, Bodegas de Argentina supported the Malbec Open Days with several social responsibility activities.
Wine professionals had the opportunity to taste a vast range of different Malbec wines from various regions in Argentina (i.e.: Cuyo, Noa, Patagonia, etc.). The event which took place in Buenos Aires on Saturday 11 April, welcomed 1600 participants from the most important Wine Academies of Argentina.
The Wine in Moderation-Art de Vivre programme and Villavicencio water, a new WIM alliance in Argentina, adopted a solid position during the event and strongly supported the concept of drinking water alongside a glass of wine. The WIM message of moderation was spread, and mineral water was distributed to participants.
Several activities including the message of responsible drinking were organised in parallel with this large tasting: wine talks with recognised journalists specialised in food & wines, wine and food pairings, live DJ sets, etc.
Last but not least, organisers collaborated with a public institution, and instead of asking for an entry fee, participants were required to bring a nonperishable food destined for the Food Bank. Bodegas de Argentina participated in this action by giving 610 kg of food.
