Implementation of the Wine in Moderation programme in Argentina presented at the 37th OIV Congress

Mendoza, Argentina, 10/11/2014 - The 37^th edition of the World Congress of Vine and Wine in Mendoza welcomed over 1200 participants among whom influential scientists, government officials and key stakeholders, making it the perfect opportunity for the Argentinean Wine business to present their commitment and contribution in promoting responsibility and moderation.

The first day of the congress saw Dr. Patricia Ortiz, chair of the wine and health committee of Bodegas de Argentina, present the adaptation and implementation of the Wine in Moderation programme in Argentina. Dr. Ortiz explained the reasons why Bodegas de Argentina decided to join WIM and presented the key achievements of the programme’s implementation so far.

The article/presentation was supported by WIM Aisbl’s General Secretary who seized the opportunity to further appreciate the implementation of the WIM programme by the wineries that have adhered to the wine in Moderation programme in Argentina and experience the communication of the WIM message in wine tourism activities.

A number of WIM seminars and workshop destined at professionals of the Argentinean wine sector were also organised in Buenos Aires and Mendoza and enjoyed large participation as well as coverage by the press.
