Wine in Moderation invited to European Food Forum event at European Parliament
On 27 January 2026, Wine in Moderation Secretary General Nadia Frittella was invited to speak at the European Food Forum event “Is Food the Solution? The Safe Hearts Plan for a Better European Life”, hosted by MEP Vlad Voiculescu at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Taking part in the panel discussion “Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue – The Food Supply Chain & Policy”, Ms. Frittella highlighted Wine in Moderation’s continued commitment to promoting moderation and responsibility across the wine sector, sharing concrete examples of its work in education, awareness-raising, and professional training.
In her intervention, she emphasised the importance of education, consumer awareness, and responsible communication as practical tools to support informed choices in real-life contexts. She also underlined that prevention efforts must respect individual choices, recognising that while some people choose not to drink, others may choose to enjoy wine occasionally and moderately.
Wine in Moderation remains committed to playing a constructive role in stakeholder discussions on moderate consumption and balanced lifestyles, working collaboratively across the sector to support informed and responsible choices.
