Prowein 2022: a successful occasion to present Wine in Moderation to wine professionals around the world

One month ago, professionals of the wine sector from all around the world reunited in Düsseldorf to take part in one of the most important international wine and spirits trade fair, ProWein.  

As announced in the past weeks, Wine in Moderation was present with a stand during this year’s edition, and took the opportunity to get in touch directly with the sector, promoting the programme and presenting the mission and vision of the movement to professionals from all over the world.

The Wine in Moderation team welcomed visitors at the Northern Entrance in a colorful stand where visitors had the opportunity to:

- play interactive games, to discover responsible drinking patterns and guidelines;

- enjoy a glass (or more!) of aromatized water;

- grab colored pins with the CHOOSE | SHARE | CARE message.

A series of materials were also distributed containing the Wine in Moderation message and guidelines, information on the Association and how to join, the report of the latest activities and, in parallel, contacts from interested parties were gathered, to further extend the conversation after the fair.

Among our guests, the Executive Director of ProWein, Michael Degen joined our President Sandro Sartor for a lively chat that was live streamed on Instagram, and where they discussed about the collaboration between Wine in Moderation and ProWein and the importance of working in synergy to promote responsible consumption during such events.

However, Wine in Moderation’s presence at Prowein 2022 wasn’t limited to the Northern Entrance: like every year, our National Coordinator in Germany, the Deutsche Weinakademie, promoted the programme at their stand, offering also visitors breathalyzers to monitor their BAC level, the possibility to taste low-alcohol wines and snacks to accompany their tastings. Moreover, several supporters present at the fair as exhibitors proudly showed the Wine in Moderation logo on their stand.

The balance of this experience was thus more than positive and a further occasion to network and expand Wine in Moderation’s reach.
