About Terroir Moselle

Terroir Moselle is a joint initiative of producers, institutions and tourists from the European vineyards of the Moselle in France, Luxembourg and Germany. These actors are keen to help you discover the diverse terroirs on which high quality wines flourish, sharing a common know-how and history dating back to the Romans.

Four designation of origin make up the European Moselle Valley. In France, the AOC Côtes de Toul is located on the hillsides north and south of the town of Toul. The vines of the new AOC Moselle, extend over several communes from Metz to the tri-border area. The Moselle Luxembourgeoise appellation is located on an area going from Schengen to Wasserbillig, along the border with Germany. It is the only vineyard in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. On the other side, the Mosel appellation starts in Perl, and follows the valley to the confluence of the Rhine in Koblenz. This appellation crosses two regions, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
