Buenos Aires wine district celebrates Bonarda and Pinot Noir week… in moderation!

In the occasion of the most productive month of the year for Argentinian wines, Buenos Aires Wine District, celebrated the days of Bonarda and Pinot Noir (August 22-28) with activities and initiatives for both varieties’ lovers.

All activities were planned respecting the guidelines of the Wine in Moderation programme for responsible wine consumption, with introductory talks at each salespoint, mineral water, and informative brochures. Moreover, during the opening event, Bodega de Argentina shared a few words about Wine in Moderation and the importance of enjoying wine within a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Over 15 wine cellars and wine bars and over 20 restaurants and bars took part in the event, which had the following agenda:

- Tastings and discounts: wine bars offered tastings with renowned sommeliers.

- Food pairings: restaurant and bars presented wine and food pairings throughout the week, with special menus designed for the occasion.

- Special master class: Sommelier Juan Giacalone held a talk on the two wine varieties.

The event took place in the Buenos Aires wine district, a new project which has the objective to promote and position the Argentinian wine sector, nationally and internationally.
