Driven by the European wine sector in Spain and managed by FIVIN, by delegation of the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), WIM (Wine in Moderation-Art de Vivre) promotes responsible consumption of wine and cava.

Vilafranca del Penedes is the first wine-growing city to join the European programme Wine in Moderation. A European initiative promoting responsible consumption of wine and cava as a sociocultural norm in order to prevent and reduce the abuse and damage associated with drinking alcohol. At the same time, the programme attempts to preserve the place that wine and cava occupy in part of the economy and culture of European society. The mayor of Vilafranca del Penedes, Pere Regull, FIVIN Secretary General, Valiente Domingo and the Secretary General of the Catalan Association Wine, loan Gil - a delegation of the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) - signed the accession agreement this morning, by which the City of Vilafranca del Penedes committed to spreading the common message of moderation and fulfill the autoregulation code of Wine on Advertising and Commercial Communications Spanish Wine Federation (FEV).

WINE IN MODERATION-ART DE VIVRE which operates in Spain since 2009 by FIVIN by delegation of FEV, has created a series of learning activities called "Art de Vivre" aimed both at consumers and the wine industry itself, where the goal is to transmit the importance of moderation and promote cultural change to society.

In addition to the message of moderation, a Wine Information Council has been created to ensure "best practices" across Europe and encourage independent research on aspects of the programme's objects. The programme represents the contribution of the wine sector to the European Alcohol and Health Forum of the European Commission, as part of the EU strategy to support Member States.
