FIVS Meetings in Brussels 2023: Collaboration and Commitment towards a Responsible Alcohol Beverage Sector

FIVS Meetings took place in Brussels, Belgium from 15-16 March 2023. Two days of fruitful discussions in a collaborative environment.

The first day of the programme featured a “who’s who” of those in the alcohol beverage sector. Speakers offered views on such critical issues for the trade as anti-alcohol trends, innovations and challenges around labelling, climate change and related certification approaches, and interactions with key international organisations. On the second day, FIVS members held internal discussion sessions focusing on the most pressing issues of the day.

FIVS was delighted to upgrade its existing memorandum of understanding with Wine in Moderation (WiM) culminating in a signing ceremony at a reception on the first day. The new MoU reinforces the long-standing cooperation between FIVS and WiM and demonstrates the wine sector's global commitment to discourage the harmful use of alcohol.
