The famous Lithuanian wine expo, which took place last May, welcomed over 4000 visitors in 2 days and included references to the moderate and responsible consumption of wine for the very first time.

Considered one of the largest wine expos in the Baltic countries, Vynos Dienos is a reference in the region reaching a large number of professionals and consumers. As such, it also bears an important responsibility to encourage the moderate and responsible consumption of wine and has fully embraced the message in this 14th edition.

Looking to inform the visitors and really make a difference in the way they appreciate and consume wine, the organisers of Vyno Dienos arranged a number of materials around the expo and actions during the 2-days expo. Not only was the Wine in Moderation logo included in all the expo material, but most importantly “Guides for a Responsible Wine Fair” were arranged in numerous strategic spots of the expo providing simple tips to the visitors to enhance their tasting experience.

WiM Association was also invited to give a presentation and introduce Wine in Moderation to all the professionals present, raising the importance of the movement and presenting the simple actions that can be put into place to make a difference. Questions were raised showing the interest of the audience and the increasing curiosity on the important topic of wine and moderate consumption.

The Sommelier School of Lithuania (SSL), the Wine in Moderation National Coordination in Lithuania which joined in December 2017, works in close cooperation with Vyno Dienos, the largest wine exhibition in the Baltic countries, which welcomes both professionals and consumers. Wine and spirits producers, international importers, gourmet representatives, companies related to the wine sector meet for two days where they have the possibility to exchange, present their products and discover new ones, attend lectures where they get the most recent information about wine and other related subjects.
