Driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages – ACIBEV brings a simulator at Essência do Vinho

As part of its commitment to the “Wine in Moderation” Program, ACIBEV took part to the 1st Summer Edition of Essência do Vinho, in Oporto, (2nd-4th July) to raise awareness of the importance of a moderate wine consumption and the risks of drinking and driving.

In the second day of the event, ACIBEV signed a collaborative protocol with the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), with the aim of carrying out joint actions to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving, as part of ACIBEV’s commitment to the Wine in Moderation program and the National Alcohol and Health Forum.

Following the signature of this protocol, ACIBEV gave the opportunity to visitors of the wine fair to enter a driving simulator and witness how it is to drive under the influence of alcoholic beverages through the use of special glasses that replicate different BAC levels. Over 266 visitors had the possibility to enjoy the activity.

Visitors also had access to a QRCode to download a brochure with relevant information with the Wine in Moderation messages. In addition, the new ACIBEV social responsibility film subtitled in English and Portuguese and a film with the guidelines for a low-risk consumption and information on when not to drink were continuously displayed during the event.
