Wim over wijn - a multichannel campaign to encourage moderation and responsibility
The Hague, 8 October 2015 – In the frame of their recent membership to the Wine in Moderation -Art de Vivre (WIM) Association, the KVNW (the Dutch association of wine merchants) launched their first multi-channel campaign: “Wim over Wijn”. Supported by the entire Dutch wine sector, the newly launched campaign aims to encourage responsible wine consumption and inform Dutch consumers about the harmful effects of alcohol abuse.

2015 ‘Born Digital’ Shortlist Announced

The Shortlist for the 2015 Born Digital Wine Awards, brought to you by Wine in Moderation (#BDWAbyWIM) is announced today, 13th October 2015. 118 entries made it to the final stage, where judges scored each of them on multiple criteria in order to create the shortlist of entries, from which the winners will be selected. The shortlist includes well-known as well as new names from the USA, UK, France, Spain and Greece.

Vinos y Bodegas Wine Fair – A classic event

For its 15th edition, the Vinos y Bodegas Wine Fair has taken a step further by putting forward the link between wine and gastronomy and welcoming a gourmet market. Visitors had the opportunity to appreciate delicacies from five famous food trucks alongside the wines from 45 wineries representing the various vitivinicultural regions of Argentina and therefore appreciate food and wine pairings that give you a richer experience with more varied tastes, textures and pleasure.

Living in Brussels? You can find the Wine in Moderation – Art de Vivre postcards for free in Filigranes – one of the biggest and most famous libraries in Brussels. A nice way to send your responsible message when and who should avoid drinking and on how to best appreciate wine.

Wine in Moderation "prescribed" in medical summer camp

For the 6th consecutive year, medical students from different universities were invited to attend a medical summer camp as part of their clinical traineeship. For the first time, a seminar on “wine and health” was part of the programme.

“Eat! Brussels Drink! Bordeaux”...in moderation

For the second consecutive year, Bordeaux wines join Brussels’ most famous food fair. Primarily based on the discovery of gastronomies from around the globe, today “Eat! Brussels Drink! Bordeaux” also invites visitors to taste French gastronomy through a wide variety of Bordeaux wines. Gastronomy and moderation go hand in hand and WIM is there to encourage moderation and responsibility and a full appreciation.

For the first time, Megavino, the biggest wine expo in the Benelux has decided to take on the Wine in Moderation message of responsibility. The Wine in Moderation message will accompany the communication of Megavino and leaflets will be distributed at the entrance of the expo. It will be a perfect opportunity for the 20 000 visitors to learn more on responsible and moderate consumption.
