For the second consecutive year, “Encontro com o Vinho e Sabores”, one of the biggest and oldest event for wine and gastronomy in Portugal, adopted the moderation message and organised targeting drink and driving and encouraging a responsible wine consumption.
As with any other alcoholic beverage, the consumption of wine affects the capacity to perform certain activities, such as driving, it is therefore always advised to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages when driving.
1200 brochures were handed out, aiming to raise awareness about the benefits of moderate consumption and the risks of the abusive consumption of alcohol. These brochures presented the guidelines for a low-risk consumption, units of measurement and the legal Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) limits for drink and driving in Portugal.
ACIBEV not only informed the participants but also made more than 1200 free breathalyzer tests to the visitors before leaving the wine fair. An action that has received great interest and involvement by the “Encontro com o Vinho e Sabores” audience.
On this important national event, the National Coordinator ACIBEV reached over 2200 participants.
