Turismo Enológico

La popularidad del enoturismo sigue creciendo y los expertos creen que el movimiento del turismo del vino solo ha alcanzado un 20 % de su potencial, esta cifra podría fácilmente duplicarse en un futuro cercano. Entre los factores que contribuyen a la expansión de este movimiento se encuentran las «rutas del vino», itinerarios especializados a través de regiones productoras de vinos, así como eventos anuales en bodegas abiertas durante la primavera, que atraen a millones de turistas a los viñedos.


Además de brindar una oportunidad de ver dónde y cómo se elabora el vino y descubrir la diferencia de degustarlo en su punto de origen, el enoturismo ofrece a los visitantes la oportunidad de conocer en mayor profundidad las tradiciones y la cultura vinculadas a la vinificación y la vida en el campo.


Aunque el vino es el foco de atención principal, el enoturismo ofrece a los turistas la posibilidad de descubrir zonas rurales y sus entornos naturales, de probar otros productos agrícolas, como el aceite de oliva, y de degustar una amplia gama de alimentos y especialidades gastronómicas locales, tendiendo puentes entre los espacios urbanos y las zonas rurales.

De hecho, las experiencias culinarias y vitícolas son un factor determinante de la elección del destino para un número creciente de turistas de ocio.

UNWTO Hails Wine Tourism as an approach to Sustainable Rural Development
UNWTO UNWTO called for wine tourism to be made part of national tourism and rural development policies at the 3rd UNWTO Wine Tourism Conference in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova (6-7 September 2018). The two days of discussions engaged experts from 30 countries and addressed UNWTO’s priority of enhancing tourism’s socioeconomic benefits, looking at specific segments like wine tourism. Wine in Moderation was also present to add the topic of responsible drinking in the sustainable development of wine businesses.
