17 February 2019 - 17 February 2019
Location: Peloponese, Greece
Organizer: Greek National Inter-professional of Vine and Wine - EDOAO

Country: Greece

The annual Peloponnese Wine Festival took place last 17 February at the Hellenic motor museum. This year’s edition fully embraced the Wine in Moderation message.

The Festival’s main goal is not only to promote local wines but also to bring the responsibility message to a large public of wine professionals and wine lovers. In cooperation with the National Interprofessional Organization of Vine and Wine (EDOAO), national Wine in Moderation coordinator in Greece, more than 2000 visitors were informed about the moderate consumption of wine and the responsible drinking guidelines. Leaflets with tips on how to best enjoy your experience at a wine event were distributed and free mineral water was offered to the visitors. In addition, a restaurant was also set up to serve food throughout the event, in order to encourage visitors to take a break and eat something.

The Peloponnese Wine Festival is the annual wine fair of The Wine Producers’ Association of the Peloponnese Vineyard (ENOAP). This year 45 producers participated at the event, presenting more than 450 different wines.
