Sogrape Vinhos held the seventh edition of its yearly Wine in Moderation week last July. This year’s edition was built around the new Wine in Moderation message “CHOOSE, SHARE, CARE.”, which is based on the updated Wine in Moderation Brand Strategy.
The annual week aims at raising awareness about responsible consumption of wine and alcohol and drawing the attention of the staff to the importance of a healthy diet and physical activity, providing them with lifestyle experiences.
Between the 8th and the 12th of July, Sogrape’s family experienced a relaxing debut: 15-minute massage sessions, an initiative that greatly caught their interest.
As with previous editions, the week included a range of healthy menus and desserts, with particular attention to vegetarian and vegan styles, a port wine cocktails tasting, a 5k race, a quiz about the Wine in Moderation programme, a Pilates class and daily outdoor walks.
Following last year’s report which revealed that 90% of Sogrape employees were affected by poor posture, Sogrape also decided to re-invite a personal trainer to give a posture workshop. About 600 employees received the visit from the personal trainer, who corrected bad postures and evaluated developments from the previous year.
For the seventh consecutive year, employees thus experienced a week filled with activities which highlighted the need for moderation in the consumption of alcohol, diet and exercise. A great number of informative posters, roll-ups and banners were exhibited in the facilities and on the intranet and an internal email campaign with relevant information was also sent out.
Since the launch of the Wine in Moderation programme in 2008, Sogrape has been fully committed in alerting consumers on the adverse effects of excessive alcohol intake whilst promoting the benefits of moderate alcohol consumption.
