For the fifth consecutive year, UIV has renewed its commitment to spread a responsible culture of wine through its social awareness campaign "In Vino Virtus - Change your drinking save your life". This year’s edition will be organised under the patronage of the European Parliament, as well as national authorities, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Interior.
Developed in partnership with the State Police, in the frame of the Vinitaly wine fair, the campaign aims at informing the general public on the dangers of drunk driving, with particular attention to the harmful effects of binge drinking.
In addition to the campaign-branded labels already used in previous editions, Unione Italiana Vini will develop new material that companies will be able to directly apply to the bottles on display in their stands, for example branded bottle collars, signs, and roll-ups.
Sandro Sartor, coordinator of UIV’s Wine and Health working group highlighted "We are convinced that this action will simplify the work for our member companies and that it will therefore make it possible to increase the number of adhesions and bottles with this message, with the direct consequence of further increasing the visibility of the initiative".

Vinitaly will take place in Verona next 7 to 10 April.
