Vrazon and Wine in Moderation announce the 2016 edition of the Born Digital Wine Awards

BDWAbyWIM

The Born Digital Wine Awards, brought to you by Wine in Moderation returns in 2016 for its second year with new categories.

The Born Digital Wine Awards brought to you by Wine in Moderation (#BDWAbyWIM) is the only international award to identify and reward responsible voices in wine communication that celebrate diversity and cultural expression. Thanks to the ongoing sponsorship by Wine in Moderation-Art de Vivre, these awards will continue to support content in the categories of the 2015 awards, plus will be introducing two new awards for the 2016 edition.

Stylianos Filopoulos of WiM Association said “We believe that responsible and quality content, about wine, is key for the sustainability of a shared wine culture that inspires well-being and healthy lifestyle. This year we would like to go one step further with BDWAbyWIM and award the most responsible voices among the shortlisted entries with the introduction of the “Responsibility Prize”.

Robert McIntosh of Vrazon said, “Last year’s re-launched awards were very exciting for us, and we had great support from creators around the world. We have developed the only awards that accept entries in different languages, and with a systematic approach to judging that really helps to promote new voices alongside the established names, as demonstrated by our 2015 winners’ and participant list.”

Submissions are now being accepted and will continue until the 7th of July, 2016 after which the judging will begin. The 2016 shortlist will be published in October and the winners will be announced in early November. Judges for the 2016 awards will be announced shortly.

The Born Digital Wine Awards were originally launched in 2011 to focus the wine trade’s attention on the range and quality of wine-related content being published online across the world in different languages. The 2015 edition brought to you by Wine in Moderation, received over 200 submissions from 19 countries, and had 30 shortlisted entries from the US, UK, New Zealand, France, Spain and Greece.
