What are the ideal conditions to encourage the responsible consumption of wine in our societies? How can we encourage good behaviours to avoid the misuse of wine and the associated risks? These are the questions that the Research and Teaching Chair launched by Vin & Société and KEDGE Business School will aim to analyse together with the role of education and information on responsible wine consumption.
Directed by Olivier Gergaud, Professor of Economics at KEDGE, the Chair will bring together leading international researchers, who will be led by a Steering Committee in charge of defining the research and teaching axes. KEDGE Business School and its professors will work independently.
The Research and Teaching Chair dedicated to responsible consumption will be looking to feed the reflection and the choices of the wine sector in terms of preventative action. Its mission, which will be spread over 3 years, will have an annual allocation of 86,000 euros, or 250,000 euros in total.
Vin & Société will continue working hard to fulfil its "prevention revolution" through two major axes: responsible wine consumption and the protection of populations at risk. 2 million euros will be committed by 2022.
KEDGE Business School is a reference management school which provides management training for students and professionals, and several Master-level courses in the field of wine and spirits management. The school, through this Chair and its mission of education, wishes to engage with the sector to educate future managers of French companies responsible for consumption.
Vin et Société has been partner of Kedge Business School since September 2016.
