For the third year in a row, Eat! Brussels Drink! Bordeaux takes on the moderation message and integrates it in its communication. Fully dedicated to the discovery of gastronomies from around the world, the festival also puts forward the link between gastronomy and wine by welcoming Bordeaux wines to the party.
Surrounded by gourmet plates and wine tastings, there are indeed a few simple guidelines that can give the consumer a richer experience, for example learning how to enjoy a good glass of wine in a responsible and moderate way.
To make sure visitors held all the cards to make responsible choices, Wine in Moderation leaflets were distributed at the entrance of the festival, and postcards bearing the message were made available at the wine stands.
Going one extra step in comparison to previous editions, the organisers also incorporated the Wine in Moderation logo and message in three languages on the event’s webpage dedicated to moderate consumption of wine. And with the aim of further sensitizing visitors and participants of the event, a responsible message was also posted on their largely followed social media pages Friday evening.
Organisers also developed the concept of “Wine Pass” through which participants were encouraged to discover the art of wine tasting by joining a session organised by the School of Bordeaux Wines. Moreover, in order to make sure that the amount of wine poured does not exceed tasting purposes, people participating also receive a glass bearing a limited serving size, and spittoons were also made available.
