Already in its fifth edition, the well-established social awareness campaign on moderate and responsible drinking: “Conoscere l’Alcol”, has become an annual summer appointment for the producers of wine, spirits and beer in Italy.
Organised with the support of the Ministry of Health, the campaign that was launched on June 3rd, will last until next September and will be present in more than 200 commercial stores throughout the country with the aim of spreading the principle of responsibility and moderation in the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Consumers will have the opportunity to learn more about alcoholic beverages in the dedicated lanes and will receive information material indicating the gradation of the most common alcoholic beverages and the situations where a total alcohol abstinence is preferred: under age, driving, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Trained staff will also be present in the stores to give additional details to those who wish to know more and consumers will have the opportunity to take a multimedia quiz (touch screen and tablet video) to see how much they actually know about the moderate and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages, see how to adopt responsible and moderate drinking habits and avoid dangerous behaviours.
As every year, Pernod Ricard Italia, Ruffino, Diageo, Cantine Leonardo da Vinci have partnered, with the support of Unione Italiana Vini and Wine in Moderation and in collaboration with Auchan and SIMPLY supermarkets with the aim of sensitizing millions of people to moderate and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.
