All economic entities that would like to join the WiM Association but are not eligible to become effective members of the WiM Association can apply to join as Observers.


Observers have an active role in the Association even though they do not have voting rights. The roles and responsibilities are analytically defined in of a Memorandum of Understanding with the WiM Association.

In parallel, representative associations of the wider value chain (e.g. related sectors such as retail, hospitality, professional groups, etc.) with European or International reach, which share the Wine in Moderation principles and values can take active role in the programme and become Wine in Moderation Associated Partners.


The Wine in Moderation Associated Partners promote cooperation and action of their constituencies with the National WIM Coordinators at national level and support the programme with tangible actions. The Partnership is also sealed with the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding with the WiM Association.
